Snow Patrol Thanks “Grey’s Anatomy”
by amit

ABC’s powerhouse medical series, “Grey’s Anatomy” is not only known for romantic drama, suspense, crying, bad medical ethics, and hints of comedy, it’s also a catapult for musical acts like The Fray and Snow Patrol. Gary Lightbody, Snow Patrol’s front man, owes their recent snowballing success to a song “Chasing Cars” playing during the final few minutes of the season two finale. Recently, the band went even as far as to re-cut scenes of “Grey’s” into the music video. Lightbody told AOL Music,

“It’s very strange to have people coming to the band just on the back of one song, ’cause we’re very much an albums band and we want to win people over with our live show or whole record rather than some TV show they saw. [But], if people come along because of that, then we’ll win them over.”

Comedy Central’s “Freak Show”
by amit

Name an animated TV show that can get away with character names like Primi the Premature Baby and The Bearded Clam and I’ll say, “Hogwash!” Amazingly, it’s true thanks to the minds of Jon Benjamin (”Dr. Katz,” “Home Movies”) and David Cross (”Arrested Development,” “Mr. Show”) who have come up with a new Comedy Central series called “Freak Show.” The premise revolves around a team (Tuck and Benny, The World’s Tallest Nebraskan and Log Cabin Republic are the other three members) of physically and mentally abnormal secret agents hellbent on completing covert missions for the government. “Freak Show” premiers October 4th on Comedy Central.

TransAmerica 2: Oprah & Gayle
by amit

An unwed Oprah Winfrey and “We’re-Not-Gay” Gayle King spent this past summer together on a cross-country road trip in celebration of “The Oprah Winfrey Show” completing its 20th year. The daytime demigoddess and “platonic” pal decided to chronicle their 10-day, 3,600 mile journey from Santa Barbara, CA to New York City in an online journal to be read by lonely housewives nationwide. Most sane Americans and C&V would have believed 18 pages about living on the road, finding the next Krispy Kreme or wondering why there’s no Waffle Houses west of the Rockies (rumored car talk) would have been mindless banter, but we were quick to judge. Take a trip with C&V as we ride “back seat” and hit upon the high roads and speed bumps of “Oprah’s and Gayle’s Big Adventure.”

Barbara Walters Speaks Dog
by amit

Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is a neurodegenerative disease characterized by progressive cognitive deterioration together with declining activities of daily living and neuropsychiatric symptoms or behavioral changes. It is the most common cause of dementia. - Wikipedia

Babs and Tim Allen embraceAlzherimer’s is a horrible disease affecting millions of Americans, and after yesterday’s episode of “The View” we’re bringing that total to millions plus one. Veteran news anchorwoman Barbara Walters claimed on the daytime mindless talk-a-thon that she spoke to her Havanese dog named Cha-Cha. The in-depth one-on-one began after Walters said “I love you” and Cha-Cha apparently replied, “I love you too.” Barbara’s new view? Dementia. If my history is correct the last person to have a dog reply to him or her was none other than the “Son of Sam” serial killer, David Berkowitz, who claimed his neighbor’s dog, Harvey, was possessed by demons and made him kill. Now let’s not jump to conclusions. Cha-Cha has not commanded murder, yet. According to MSNBC, when the 77-year-old reporter made famous for breaking the news of a spherical Earth told the story, co-host Joy Behar was close to throwing up. Walter stated she’s going to bring in the woman who witnessed the canine conversation in order to corroborate, as soon as she stops being invisible. Cha-Cha has yet to comment or return C&V’s phone calls.

Harry Potter Seeks Order of Non-Virgins
by amit

In an upcoming HBO episode of Ricky Gervais’ “Extras,” Daniel Radcliffe, better and always known as Harry Potter, will guest star as a horny Boy Scout. This is yet another attempt by Potter Radcliffe to flee the world of witchcraft and wizardry, and yet in the episode he still looks like the boy wizard with circular spectacles and bowl haircut. Below is a clip of his appearance.
