Beck’s ASCII Music Video
by amit

Beck took some time off from his busy schedule of being a prolific song-writer to make a music video for his newest single from Guero, “Black Tambourine.” The recent addition to his video repertoire was done all in ASCII characters using a typewriter (according to the video). Nerd it up and learn about ASCII characters/art here, then view the music video below.

Dead Baby Saved! [UPDATED!]
by amit

Earlier today we made a dead baby joke about Britney Spears driving her dead baby, SPF or Sean Preston Federline, around town in her convertible MINI Cooper. Tonight we have a startling photo proving Spears has finally let go of her late son. Actually she almost drops the carcass. Good thing she’s got another bun in the oven. Either way, thanks to Doug, our NYC photographer, we have an exclusive photo of Josh “Dirty Sanchez” Hartnett trying to catch a dead baby.

“White trash down!!” - Josh Hartnett

Update! - Please see the “Liner Notes” for more gruesome hilarity!

More Cash On The Way
by dan

Rick Rubin, producer/legend, has announced that 2 more Johnny Cash “American” recordings are in the works. Perhaps you remember American IV: The Man Comes Around, the album that fueled Cash’s reemergence into pop culture with the Nine Inch Nails cover, “Hurt.” Well, shortly thereafter June Carter Cash passed away and Johnny told Rick, “I need to have something to do every day. Otherwise, there’s no reason for me to be here.” The pair then recorded 60 songs and just a week after finishing the recordings Cash passed away. The first album, American V: A Hundred Highways, will be released on July 4th. Says Rubin, it “may be the strongest album we’ve made together. It’s not leftover scraps. It’s the real deal. And it’s incredible for his legacy.”

“The Hardest Part” Is Watching
by amit

We’ve showcased a handful of the “worst of the worst” in music videos over the past couple of years. From David Hasselhoff’s “Hooked on a Feeling” to the Finnish duo Armi and Danny, pure horror and numerous “WTF’s?” have never been more rampant. Then, we ran across this video from the most unlikely of bands, Coldplay. The British quartet famous for such artistic and creative videos as “Trouble” , “Don’t Panic” , and “The Scientist” released the video to their newest single, “The Hardest Part.” For our readers who aren’t brave enough to watch, the video centers around an 80’s morning show in what appears to be Florida. The band plays alongside a leotard sporting couple interpretive dancing, except they’re no ordinary couple. The lady’s 89-years-old and the guy refers to himself as “Peter Pan” (allegedly).

We would have thought a public outcry would ensure after fans witnessed the atrosity, but after reading the comments on YouTube, we discovered quite the opposite.

Johndude1321:

this is the only coldplay video I like! they usually suck but theyve suprised me here!

rainfal:

this is my nth [n = 54,287] time of watching this video.. i just can’t get enough.. the old woman was awesome…and Coldplay too ofcourse..

JohnDude1321 and rainfal, you’re retarded.

PETA’s Sexiest Vegetarian
by amit

Prince has won the coveted title of the “Sexiest Vegetarian” according to an online poll conducted by the loons over at PETA. Prince is such a vegetarian that he wrote about the horrors of wool production in the liner notes of his recent album “3121″ and quoted Gandhi as saying, “2 my mind, the life of a lamb is no less precious than that of a human being.” As always with superlative contests there’s winners, losers, and neithers. Click here (or below) to learn who PETA will sadly never nominate as the “Sexiest Vegetarian.”

Hates wool sweaters, loves rhino skin suits
