Dreamworks Studios has confirmed Director Tim Burton will once again be teamed up with Johnny Depp in his next film titled “Sweeney Todd.” The story comes from a Stephen Sondheim musical thriller centered around “a murderous barber wrongfully imprisoned who later seeks revenge on the judge who sent him up the river.” Sounds like a Burton-esque plot. Who else is behind the upcoming film? Memoirs of a Geisha’s costume designer, Colleen Atwood, L.A. Confidential’s Oscar-nominated cinematographer Dante Spinotti and The Aviator’s and Gladiator’s screenwriter John Logan will all come together for what’s slated to be a classic film. Shooting begins next February with a release later in the year.

According to Reuters, writer/director Wes Anderson is set start shooting his next movie at the end of the year in the only country to be considered a sub-continent, India. Starring in the flick titled The Darjeeling Limited are perennial favorites Owen Wilson and Jason Schwartzman along with new comer Adrien Brody (Angels in the Outfield). Not only is this a whole new movie locale for Anderson, the director is also changing movie companies. FOX Searchlight will be the group behind the film about three brothers on a “spiritual journey” across India after the passing of their father. The screenplay has a triple threat authorship from Anderson, Schwartzman, and Roman Coppola (That’s a YAT? or “Yet another Coppola?”). No word on the release date.
