“Family Guy” Art Show

Next month, the Los Angeles Museum of Radio and Television will be home to art works inspired by the hit animated series “Family Guy.” The showing, titled “What the Deuce Are You Staring At!?! A Collection of Interpretive Work Inspired by ‘Family Guy’,” will be made up of 21 pieces created to pay tribute to several characters from the mastermind of Seth MacFarlane. The art will span several mediums from oil paintings to collages and some of the titles include: “Stewie’s Inner Demon” and “A Possessed Peter Finds the Magic Marigold.” The artists behind the work come from a 1970’s “lowbrow pop art movement” for comic books and punk rock that started in Southern California. The exhibit opens November 8th and will run for 10 weeks before embarking a world tour. The art show also hopes to hype the release of the “Family Guy: Volume 3″ DVD due out late next month.
