Rupert Grint, the red head whiner who’s been in every single Harry Potter to date, has removed his typecast to star in the upcoming film Driving Lessons. The sixteen year old awkward actor told MTV he’s “learning to drive in real life. So part of the reason [he] signed up for [Driving Lessons] was that [he] was looking forward to driving a car.” The other part? He’s been Ron Weasley since 2001. For the flick no one will see, Rup shot a scene that’s been missing in every single one of his movies. An on-screen kiss. Sadly, no magic occurred. Director Jeremy Brock had to stop the still pre-pubescent goof’s “giggle fits” during his first silver screen smooch. Grint said the scene was “nerve-wracking…because everyone [was] watching [and girls have cooties].” Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix opens July 13, 2007.
